Mainstage Productions
Match: Lit came to life in October 2015 as an actor-focused company with an intent to highlight the relationships between Shakespeare's characters above all else. We perform remixes of Shakespeare: characters are cut, combined, and the text is reexamined and altered to present the a more relevant classic to our current audience.
Match: Lit has produced five mainstage productions alongside numerous readings and other events. Through it all, our philosophy remains simple: that Shakespeare's stories are for everyone.

“[I] was struck by the strong themes of extremist nationalism and religious institution overreach. I wanted to tackle this piece today where we continue to face both of these issues, knowing it will be a challenge but will hopefully shed some light on how both extremes often overlook the most vulnerable amongst us. I'm thrilled [...] to find new ways to tell these timeless stories to make them accessible.”
